Pre-Service Preparation

• Assess the property to determine the scope of the cleanout.

During Service

• Remove all unwanted items from each room, including furniture, appliances, and personal belongings.
• Sort items into categories: keep, donate, recycle, and dispose.
• Clean surfaces after items have been removed to ensure the space is left tidy.

Post-Service Verification

• Conduct a walk-through with the client to ensure all items have been addressed.
• Double-check that all areas have been thoroughly cleaned and cleared of debris.
• Provide the client with a checklist of completed services and discuss any next steps.

Local Requirements

• Check local regulations for disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., paint, chemicals).
• Verify any permits required for large item disposal or special collections.
• Familiarize yourself with local donation centers for items in good condition.
