Pre-Service Preparation
- Gather all cleaning supplies (all-purpose cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, scrub brushes, sponges, mop, vacuum, etc.)
- Remove personal belongings and any items not included in the lease agreement.
- Schedule a time for the cleaning service that allows for enough time to complete the job.
During Service
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including shelves, baseboards, and light fixtures.
- Clean all windows and mirrors to remove smudges and streaks.
- Deep clean kitchen appliances (oven, refrigerator, microwave) inside and out.
Post-Service Verification
- Inspect all rooms to ensure that all surfaces have been cleaned thoroughly.
- Check for any missed spots or areas needing touch-ups (baseboards, corners, etc.).
- Confirm that all cleaning supplies and equipment have been put away and the property is left in a tidy condition.
Local Requirements
- Ensure disposal of any hazardous materials (e.g., old paint, chemicals) is in accordance with local regulations.
- Check if a final inspection by the landlord or property management is required after cleaning.
- Familiarize yourself with the local waste disposal guidelines for any items that need to be thrown away.
