Pre-Service Preparation

• Gather Supplies: Collect boxes, trash bags, cleaning supplies, and any necessary tools (e.g., gloves, masks).
• Schedule a Date: Choose a date and time for the cleanout that allows adequate time for the process.
• Notify Family Members: Inform everyone in the household about the cleanout to avoid confusion and gather their input on items to keep or discard.

During Service

• Sort Items: Divide items into categories: Keep, Donate, Sell, Recycle, and Trash.
• Clean the Space: Sweep, dust, and clean any surfaces in the garage after sorting items.
• Organize Kept Items: Place the items you are keeping back into the garage in an organized manner, using shelves, bins, or hooks as needed.

Post-Service Verification

• Confirm Disposal: Ensure that all trash is disposed of properly and that donations are taken to the appropriate locations.
• Evaluate Organization: Review the organization of the kept items to ensure everything has a designated spot and is easily accessible.
• Document Changes: Take photos or create a list of what was kept, donated, or discarded for future reference.
